Default need advice on child support please help

i have requested a child support reduction through the attorney general. My income has decreased by more than half for 2009 and I am now unemployed completely. my ex-wife called child support and told them that I am going to college and thats why i'm not working but i am only taking a couple night classes so it wont interfere with me finding employment. I am a mechanic so there are no jobs that will effect any mechanics job out there. Will the attorney general make waves about me taking college courses? I am taking classes to improve my education and move into a different career that I can find a job in as I do not currently have a degree at all. also, my ex-wife told child support that i do odd jobs/side jobs for extra money. I do an occasional brake job for friends that they bring to me because they know i need the money. Will child support go after my bank statements to verify any extra income? it is only about an extra hundred dollars a month average.
Please help

It really will be up to her to prove these things. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
