Default Need Advice!!!

Good Afternoon,

The question I have is when I was injured at work my supervisor made a joke, that they were familiar with workman's comp because they have had to call them over the years many times. It seemed odd that the supervisor would say that, but I didn't know at the time details of anyone elses injuries.

When I was calling around for attorneys to help me with my case, one atternory stated that they had another case from my company, with the same injury caused the same way. Again, I thought it odd, but really didn't think much more about it.

Then this branch of the company closed. Since the closing of the company I have run into other employees that worked at the company, and was distubed to find that I am not the only person to be going through the injuries I have nor am I the only person to have the injury happen the same way by the same type of equipment.

There is probably nothing that can be done about it now because our branch of the company is closed, but I wonder why OSHA was never brought in to investigate why so many people were injured in the same manner. Would something like this clasify as a class action or civial suit for neglect on the companies part in fixing an issue they know was there?

Any thoughts you may be able to share on this would be appreciated.

You'd have to be more descriptive on the accident(s) and what happened. If no one reported the company to OSHA how would they know there were any issues to begin with.

You would need to actually talk to an attorney to determine if there may be a class action. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
