I'm trying to find an answer to give my sister. She is renting a house which was owned by a property management company. They just recently sold the house and told her here's the new owners name and number. She has tried to reach this new owner several times about maintenance problems she needs fixed and can't get ahold of him. She hasn't signed a lease with the new owner but did have a lease with the old owner. Does this mean her lease was cancelled once the house sold? Can she move out of the house without having to worry about owing someone money for the remainder of her lease term? Any advice would be wonderful!!
