Default My Ex is wanting to relocate from FL to TX

I have a long history of fighting for more and more visitation with the child we have. It has taken me 7 years to now have 50/50. I go to his Dr. appts, I take him and pick him up from school on my weeks when I have him ( he attends school about 15min away ). I am very active in his life, he attends church when he is with me, ect...

The issue is that my Ex has married a few years ago and her husband has joined the Army. So now after his AIT training she is getting ready to petion the court for relocation with our 9 year old son.

A few issues, she has been baker acted twice in the same situation, she has admitted in court to hitting me in the face (while I was holding our son),she takes medication and drinks, there have been unfounded D.C.F. reports on her and her husband (unfounded b/c of how the law is written here in FL), all of the child's family and his friends are here in FL and he does not know a single person in TX.

Where do I stand?..... I am sad to say but I will be doing this pro sea b/c I cant afford an Atty...

Well it will be up to the court to decide, but you can fight it and a court will make the final decision after hearing all of the evidence and deciding what is in the best interest of the child. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
