Motion To Continue by Plaintiff. Speeding Ticket

I received a Motion to Continue from the Plantiff today, Friday, May 18, and my court date is Monday May 21. I receive it regular mail. The letter was signed by the prosecuting attorney but the line for the Magistrate Judge is blank. The reason for the Motion is the states witness, the trooper that pulled me over for speeding, is at training and will not be in his jurisdiction. Can they do this without the order signed by the Judge?

Any motion that the prosecuting attorney files must be served on you as well. Call the court on Monday and see if it was granted.
