My Ballon loan ended & my Credit Union didn't notify me the it was due for renewal. I called them after I found out it had ended. They drew up new loan docs no problem. When I stated that I wanted to look alse where for a loan then they had a problem. They stated my ballon loan was past due & they would report me to the credit bureau, which they did. I still make my monthly payment.
DO they have to legally inform me when the loan was up for renewal?
Can they strong arm me into re-doing the loan with them?
By turning me over to credit bureau they are keeping me from getting a loan somewhere else & leaving me with no choice but to stay with them. Can they do that?
