Unhappy Mom dies suddenly leaving behind a 17year old

Ok so Mom dies suddenly and leaves behind a 17year old daughter, it was just the two of them. The 17 year old, Brittany has a father but he is living in a half way house and is a drug addict. Her grandparents are not close to her at all and have told her she has a week to figure out where she wants to live (obvioulsy looking out for best interest they want a safe stable enviornment). She does not want to live with the grandparents as she would be moving out of town in that cenario and living on a farm. She will be 18 in 4 months and is getting ready to start her senior year of high school. She is a very responsible kid and works, gets great grades, etc.

So Brittany came to me and asked to move in with me and my family. I am the manager where she lives first off and was rather close to her and her mom. I have a 3 bedroom and have 3 kids. a girl 7, a boy 5, and a baby boy almost 9 months. I want to take her in because I know we can help her with what she is going through. Also I think staying close to the friends and enviornment here would be healthy for her. But I would want her to have her own room. I do think her grandparents would agree to letting her live here, as my husband and I already spoke to Brittany and explained the house rules.
My question is-Can I put the 7 & 5 year old together in a room because they are of opposite sex, and the baby in my room?

Any guidance would be appreciated. I want to help this girl, but I do not want to break any laws or put my family in jeopardy.

I have never heard of a law that says you cannot have two children in the same room regardless of sex. It would be a different situation if this was a divorce situation and it was in the court order. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
