My 20 year old daughter received a ticket for an open container in public, and minor in possession of alcohol. The officer witness my daughters 21 year girlfriend passing the plastic water bottle to her, and cited her with distributing alcohol to a minor. They were not driving but they were in public. Can someone be advise as to what I should do? This incident took place last night in Atlanta, Ga. My daughter is a college student there, and has never had any trouble with the law I reside in the stated of California.
