My mom is in the 1st stages of Alsheimers. She is living with my sister. She has been sleeping a lot and my sister seems to think we need to have soemone with her each day. (My sister works) She wants to pay her 2 daughters 35/day (4 hours) to stay with mom and keep her company. I seem to remember that if you do soemthing like that it may be considered a gift or it would be considered during the 5 year look back.

My suggestion (if mom really needed it) was to hire a nurse 2 days a week.
