Default Marrying an Illegal Romanian in the U.S.

I would like to marry a Romanian woman that has over stayed her visa. She had a B1B2 visa and was working illegally. She has overstayed her visa by 2yrs. I would like to marry her here and not have to travel to Romania for many reasons. Is this possible? We have a friend locally that did this about 1 yr ago and they are about to have their 2nd interview. If this is possible, can you suggest an attorney to represent us?

Thank you.

Immigration can be a very tricky area of law. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You should certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. You can find an attorney through the locator service on LawInfo’s home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

This is a very possible thing you are sgugesting and happens alot. I sugest that you contact an immigration lawyer upon the reviews of his clients to avoid dealing with a poorly prepared attorney.

i believe it is not possible.because of this rules:
a.
The Three Year Bar: Persons who remain in the U.S. after their authorized stay has expired for more than 180 days but less than one year, and who leave the U.S. prior to the institution of removal proceedings, are barred from reentering the U.S. for three years from their date of departure.

b. The Ten Year Bar: Persons who remain in the U.S. after their authorized stay has expired for more than one year, and who leave the U.S. prior to the institution of removal proceedings, are barred from reentering the U.S. for ten years from their date of departure.

Sometimes such case can be very complicating and may result to years or even being banned to re-enter the US. The best way to assess such complication is by consulting an immigration lawyer. They may bill you big invoice but it is worth it than being separated for many years.
