I recieved a letter stating that I could make money by putting one dollar in an envelope and request to be put on a mailing list. Once on the mailing list I would recieve lots of money in the mail. After that the letter states that I could send out a copy of the letter I recieved. (I know that sending chain letters is illegal. But what about just putting my name on the mailing list in exchange for the one dollar as a service provided to me? If I there are no chain letters mailed. Would it be legal to only be put on the mailing list?
