Default Loss of Wages Wrongful Termination of Employment

I was terminated from my job and told the company /boss could not afford the worker's comp insurance premium due to my injury He kept me on as a salesman and refused to pay me for work I had previously sold and other jobs I sold while I was injured and at home out of work. He then made me sign a hand written lein waiver on a check stub when he paid me a partial payment of the money he owed me He has refused to pay my wages that I earned working as an employee and now refuses to pay me my commission for jobs I sold for him after he let me go. When I was told he no longer needed my services I was still under doctor's care for the injury I received working on one of the jobs I sold for this company. I need guidence in how to go about filing leins against his company and against the jobs I sold but did not receive any payment. The wages and commission add up to over $7000 and I tryed to send him the invoices by certified mail but he or his company has refused to sign for them and pick them up. I need help please Johnny

Default Response

It may be wise to have your specific factual situation analyzed by an attorney in your jurisdiction. And you should have this done IMMEDIATELY so that you don't lose important rights. Many lawyers offer a free or low-cost initial consultation just for the purpose of determining whether they can help you. Don't be afraid to contact them. Our Lead Counsel Panels at http://www.lawinfo.com/law/ are a great way to find a lawyer in your area on the internet. Best of luck!
