According to the US constitution, the federal government has the power to regulate interstate commerce, and therefor the companies that are involved in that. Is that open ended, meaning that congress can pass any restriction that they want on interstate or multinational corporations, or is this power limited?

The power does have some limits, but the commerce clause does give Congress a lot of power.
