Legal help - criminal law!!!!!
Hello everyone,
I have a brother who used to live in Texas, Houston. When he left to the states he was 18 years old, when he turned 30 he got into some serious troubles. He held a gun in someones face but never shooted or killed anyone but he was charged. Soon after that he disappeared. We were living in Lebanon at that time then we moved to Canada. My brothers story have happened 10 years ago, we do not know anything about him only that he did not go to jail and he moved but to what place, we have not idea.
My questions now is that, how can we help my brother? Can we ask for an exp-unction for his case, what should we do to find him?
My parents goal is to close his case, cancel is if possible, then find my brother and help him start a new life.
Any advice.
PLEASE ANS THANK YOU. I would appreciate it if someone gives me an answer.
Best Regards,
Nura

If he was charged, but not arrested or if the case was not heard, then there is most likely an active warrant. Your first step should be to see if there is a warrant for his arrest. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

What happened is that, he was arrested and charged and was put on probation. He was doing everything fine until a new problem happened and held a weapon at someone but never hurt anyone and ran away after that.
I tried to search google up and down to get some valiable information that could help.
My parents are trying to get a hold of some good lawyer in Texas but the ones we called are not helping at all since we are asking for help from Canada!
Thank you so much for your answer and I am checking the website you recommended out. Hopefully it has something new to present. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME =)

He's looking at two problems: one, the violation of his probation, and two, he hasn't faced the charge for the assault with a deadly weapon yet. There's nothing TO be done to help him until he goes before the court on that second charge. There should now be ANOTHER warrant for him.
