Two questions that I hope someone can help me with please.

When a person is found guilty after a long trial and subsequently sent to prison, what happens with the legal bill? When a retainer has been depleted, and the legal bills mount, will the defense attorney continue to defend his/her client? Thanks for any help.

It really depends on the attorney. If the only thing left to do is appeal, then no most will not continue if they are not getting paid.
