My girlfriend has in few words slaved. Her step dad is going as far as telling her she can't see me. Now my question is If a Step-Dad hasn't legally adopted the Daughter(she gets ss checks from her father who lives in Louisianna) is there a loop hole that can prevent him from enforcing his law on her? She doesn't wish to relocate to Louisianna and she can stand his $#!^ its going as far as creating mental and physical stress. I need advice on any possible loop holes that can get her away from him or prove that he has no real rights over her as a person.

He has whatever rights the mother or other legal guardian is willing to allow him to exercise.
