K1 VISA PROBLEMS

My Thai girlfreind already has K1 visa but has not used it yet and is no longer with the man that applied for it for her but is now with me. Can she use it to come see me? Should I apply for K1 for her to come marry me? Will it go through? What problems may result if any? Anyone have an ending to this story? Any comments will be of great help! Thanks
