Default Insider trading

I have what I believe to be a up coming finance statment for a small over the counter company. I was helping my friend clean up after a company work session dinner. There was most of the statment on the table and on the floor. The report has great news and profits are way up. If I act on this buy stock am I breaking any law. I am not employed by the company. I am not even on the payroll of the guys doing the dinner.

Max if at any time you benefit from any information that is not made public knowledge e.g. you find the information in the trash outside the office etc. you are breaking the law.... Insider Trading is no JOKE!!!! The SEC will invistigate and make an exmaple out of you!!!
