Default Hotel guest rights under landlord/tenent laws

If a person stays at a hotel for over 6 months. What are their rights as to eviction? Do they get a notice of eviction? Do they have any rights?

Default guest versus tenant

in California, once you've stayed CONTINUOUSLY for 28 days at a motel, you've got tenants' rights. That's why so many long-term motels have a sign PROHIBITING your staying for 28 days continuously or more. They make you move out for one night if you're there 25 days or so...no more than 27. THIS IS FOR CALIFORNIA ONLY. For example, in Washington State, the Tenant's Rights laws specifically do NOT apply to hotel/motel lodgings.

I know Indiana has a similar 28 day law. I don't know if it's exactly 28 days, but I do know they force you to be a temporary movers for a day so you cannot be considered a tenant at their hotel. But that's just for small-time hotels around here. I do not know how extended stay places work.
