Default Homeq is trying to steal my property

I have my receipts showing that I have paid for the 5 months they claim I owe (Homeq suspened my payments and notifed me they would file for foreclosure). I sent copies of this to their atty who 3 days verbally said everything was fine and I could continue with my payments. The next thing I know I sent in the next two payments (which they did not return) and a week later I get a call from a guy telling me he purchased my property on the courthouse steps. The same day of the phone call I also received a letter from Homeq telling me to call to make payment arrangements to keep the account from going into foreclosure. My question is should I go file an injunction to stop the buyer of the deed from having it registered in his name? I am unemployed (due to this ridiculous economy) and don't have thousans of dollars for an attorney. thanks

I'm not a lawyer but IMHO you need to get to the court ASAP and file a show cause to stop the 'new owner' from filing his deed. You can represent yourself "Pro Se" and present your own evidence to the court without an atorney.

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
