Homeowners Ins. Co. failure to compensate...
Can someone refer me to a lawyer or offer legal advice concerning my situation or options to pursue this? Rental property was vandalized with wiring at circuit breaker panel, aluminum window frames, copper coils in Rooftop Heater/AC unit stolen, along with various associated damage with the break in. Occured week after an eviction. Made a police report. Insurance company is not paying remotely close to what is needed, compensating for window replacements, sheet rock repair, door repair, and repair of appliances with cords cut off (but not allowing for the cords taken). Ignoring the Central Air Heater Unit, rewiring needed at the circuit breaker panel (panel with breakers was left on the floor) with wall damaged where they cut off wiring, patio door wall busted and aluminum missing, and gutter downspouts ripped off the house. Third paragraph of policy clearly defines the building on the property includes equipment associated with ventilation, refrigeration, laundry, and cooking as part of the building and another section says they will pay for repair of damage done to the building caused by a burglar. I don't have personal property coverage like my primary resisdence because it's a rental, however none of this falls under their definition of personal property.
