Default help with lease issue

i went to an apt complex where i had reserved an apt for oct to get a copy to give to my employer for reinbursement. the manager said to me why dont you just sign it now and get it over with then you can just move in oct. 6. i did that. when i got back to my hotel i was notified that my nursing license was not being issued due to a need for more paperwork. i got nervous and called the apt complex and email the manager stating i would not take the apartment as i was not sure i was going to have my job held for me in georgia. i apologized for the inconvenience. the tenant is still living there, and i cancelled within five hours. isnt there a three day rule to protect me? or the fact that I dont have a job would now dis qualify me to move in? anyone have an answer?

No there is no such rule. Your best hope is Landlord allows you out of agreement

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
