Default Help !

Here's the situation, my father had a company, which went under and he couldn't pay back all of his bills. all the resources and the building were owned by another companyof which my father was on the board, a leasing company. So my Dad got out of the business and I started my own, and moved into where he was located and leased the old equipment he had been renting before. While this is going on, lenawee(my dad's company) is being sued, and an out of state law suit won a judgement of 10,000 dollars against him. So the court officers show up to seize all of lenawee's assets. problem is there is no lenawee, lenawee is defunct, its me, and my company, my old man isn't even involved, theres no signs on the doors anything, and besides all that, I have all the lease agreements titles whatever. the cops say they don't care, and they go ahead and take all my valuable equipment including, things I own personally, a laptop, Ipod etc. I want to know what my recourse is, how do I get my things back, without paying someone elses bill of 10,000 dollars, and how do I get these cops punished for taking these things, and finally how far can I go in protecting things that belong to me, or if next time it is repo attempting another round of theft, obviously Ican't shoot cops, although if wishes were horses... but anyways, can I shoot the repo men, if I have never had ANY business relations at all with this company heritage, nor has my company detroit, only that of a member of my families company, lenawee. Ithought maybe like, cuss I'm his son, but even so, I am only the president and one of a number of shareholders in detroit Industrial paint, they stole things from people who have never even met my father let alone not related to him. Andystricker@live.com please I could really use some advise, I thought about chapter 11 just to get it back, but like I said I"M not in debt so why should I have to go through this. I don't know about you but I am sick and tired of these cops out here

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You should certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
