Default Help!

A fire occurred in my high-rise building 10 days ago, and since then we have not been allowed to use any elevators except the freight elevator. I live on the 17th floor, and have filed a claim with my insurance. I immediately hired a professional company to restore my contents and move them to my new apartment. However, due to the elevator issue, my old building will not allow anyone to physically move contents out. This is causing a serious delay and hardship for me, as I'm living in a hotel and have been since that night. My insurance has informed me that i only have 7 days worth of financial coverage for this hotel. When I call the apartment for an update, they tell me that they are waiting on the city and to call the next day. What can I do to have this move expedited?

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
