Default harassment/bias at a MAJOR company

I need to know what kind of lawyer I would need for work issues. I was told by my HR and manager that I was approved for FMLA and filed FMLA paperwork with my doctor and turned into them several times. I was continually harassed to update it and did until about ten days ago when they told me I was NOT approved for FMLA. They gave me seven days which spanned the weekend to get an appointment at my doctors office (which always takes at least a month) to further my time off. They said this was required because I was on NON-FMLA and if I did not provide the paperwork they would fire me. They have fired me and did not even give me an opportunity to return to work. My only options were paperwork or termination. I also contact several members within the business about harassment and they continually said that I was not providing information or contacting them even though I send several emails with information detailing the issues.

Ideas and suggestions welcome.

Any lawyers interested please email me andrew.ebert85@gmail.com

Typically you would contact an employment attorney. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
