I am interested in joining an international sea conservation organization. It's volunteer work and I would need to pay for travel down to where the ship is when I join, which would probably be Australia. Is there any government grants available for this kind of thing. I wouldn't need a very large grant, just enough for the travel, to square up on some minor debt that I have before I leave, and maybe a little extra for just in case.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or let me know if there's any money out there for this sort of thing, I would really appreciate it. I've been doing a lot of searching and haven't really found much.
