Garnished wages from over 25 years ago school loan
Over 25 years ago my mother got a loan for college, just recently they've started garnishing her wages. However, they've been taking it from her taxes since then every time she filed taxes. My question is, should she have to pay back that, even if she never even graduated from high school? The college she attended back then, never checked for that and they allowed her to earn her CNA degree without ever actually obtaining a high school degree.
I am not sure I understand your question. She took a loan out and you want to know if she shouldn't have to pay it back because she didn't graduate high school? She got something for the loan, right? The degree?
