I got scammed on a fruadulent check. Bank told me it was good on 4 different occasions. Said it would take 11 days to clear. The bank had it for 22 days told me it was good. Then after I foward the money they tell me it was a fraudulent check. I didn't take a penny. Who's responsible?

Why did they have it for 22 days and why did they say it would take 11 days to clear?

I waited to be sure check was good. I was told at least 4 times during this period that the check was good. It's a very long story. Still I didn't take a penny and bank had check for 22 days.
