Question fraudulent will

I just attended my father's funeral over the weekend, and there are rumors his wife changed the will to cut me out while he was in the hospital. He couldn't have signed it so im guessing she marked an X where his signature should be. Is this legal? What about the original will? what steps should i take? I have to go back to New York can I handle it from there? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot do anything until the will is read. Then I would suggest that you contact an attorney to see if there is a chance at contesting the will. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

thank you for taking the time to respond. My next question would be, how will I know when the will is read? I'll follow the links you posted, hopefully it has all the answers to the many questions I have.

You would need to contact the executor of the will.
