Whats the laws on purchasing real estate in Florida with a POA? My x bought a house in Florida while I was in Iraq this past year and used me as the co-borrower. Singed papers as POA for me. There is no POA and the lender and title company do not have a copy of it as well. Who is responsible here? She is now late on her payments and the lender is coming after me.
