I understand your frustration. As a moderator, I cannot really give out legal advice. I can only point people in directions. I do hope that other posters in the same situation will be helpful to you though.

Moderator,

You only assume my frustration. It is not in needing legal advice, it is in your responding as though you were personally asked for legal advice.

Your advice was NOT requested, yet you responded, erroneously, as such.

My advice to you is to not always assume that a post to this legal forum is a solicitation for legal advice from it's moderators.

No need to attack the moderator. Just trying to be helpful. My job is to respond to posts.

Oh, allow me to clarify:

I was not attacking you, I was merely addressing and correcting the assumption that you acted upon.

I do not want you to misconscrue a correction for an attack. That was not my intent.

The problem is he has lived and worked in California in which he has to have his drivers license and DMV will not renew it either. How can this be???? He has had a drivers license for years to all of sudden have it yanked out from underneath him. I think legislature really really screwed up this time. Can you help us???

Most likley he is going to have to straighten out his issue in Florida first. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
