Florida Driver's license suspended for"Life"
I need to know if anyone out there has had their license suspended for life?....I used to live in Florida and currently I am living in another State going on 3 yrs...(without a drivers license). Florida suspended my license for life and now that I am older and wiser I am unable to obtain a drivers license any where in the U.S...I never realized how difficult it is to live a decent life without having a license....
If anyone out there is in the same situation I'd like to know because I am considering getting an attorney or am I wasting my time?...I am only in my middle 50's... and I have to say, I have learned a very hard lesson not being able to drive....Does anyone out there know if there is a light at the end of this black tunnel....

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You should certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

Thanks!....Does Florida have the right to suspend my driver's license for life in all 51 states?...I never drove on a suspended license, did all my time in prison for each occurrence and paid my fines..

They can suspend your license in Florida and then it would be up to the other states' dmv to determine if you can drive there.

I have gone to the DMV in this state and they said I need to have Florida release me and also to have Florida clear my name off the "NDR".(National Drivers Registry).Florida will never release me they have made that quite clear....How do I go about getting this state that I am currently living in to reinstate my driving privleages?...do I need to get an attorney from the state I now reside in?...or can this be handled without getting an attorney?...

I would suggest talking to an attorney in your current state. Sometimes it is easier for an attorney to get through all the red tape.

Ok, I will contact an attorney, however when I first moved here I tired to obtain an attorney and I was told by a couple of them (atty's)that I need to take it up with Florida....I feel like a ping pong ball at this point...nobody seems to know the correct answer to my problem...all I need is to be pointed in the right direction and I can proceed from there....Believe me its much easier to get an attorney here than in Florida....Do you or anyone know of an attorney in NH this is where I currently live and love it here!

You can find an attorney through the locator service on LawInfo’s home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/.

Hello Mod,
I have a friend with the same exact problem as Bobby. I have not yet found a state that will allow someone to get a drivers license while they are under permanent revocation in Florida. The DMV's ask for a letter from Florida before you can get a license in another state.
I'd just like to say for the record, that we cannot afford an attorney at this point in time and that is why we come to online forums to discuss these situation with others who may be in the same boat or perhaps may have known someone who is/was.
I am fully aware that everything said has to be taken with a grain of salt, and no one on the forums is certainly liable for the advice they may give us, but it gets monotonous to hear "contact an attorney", post after post, on a forum about law. (I mean, really, lol.)
