I bought a hud house in October of 2006. On my home inspection I was told that my house was on sewer. Well I found out today that I have septic and am going to need a $6000 repair. I don't pay sewer on my water bill but I am trying to find out how the property was listed as far as sewer or septic. When I posed on a few other sites just about my problem not legally just fixing it several people told me to contact a lawyer as I may have a case. So i just wanted to see what your advice would be.

You may or may not have a case; did you have a plot survey by the local city to verifiy the inspection? Who actually did the inspection, the city or a private company? Usually a town\city either has sewer or septic systems and it's not hard information to obtain.
