Hi,

I entered the US in December 2007 on an F-1 student visa. I moved in with my long term partner (have been together since 2005 and lived together since 2006) and just recently he proposed. We are unsure of the next stages and want to know how to proceed, can we marry on my current visa? And if so, what are the next steps in terms of how to gain permanent residency? Also, if I marry him and begin changing my status, can I remain a student? If I can, will I still be classed as an International student?
