Like my title states i would like to know how i can go about marrying a foreign woman that is coming to visit me? I meet her about 2 or 3 years ago online and not once has she asked me for anything, as in money or to send something to her, which really is nice for a change from a woman overseas. I would like to know if she came to visit me here in the USA if i could ask her to marry me and get married to her? i have not asked yet. If i do will she still have to go back to her country or would she be able to stay here? thank you for all who can help me in the issue. Terry

Hi. I have been in the US since 1997. In early 2001 l applyed for my Green card through my mother that married an american citizen in 2000. In early 2009 my mother became a US citizen. In June of 2009 they called me for the interview. My green card got denied because l went back to Brazil in mid 2001 after l was already out of status. l was able to come back into the country 8 months later with the same visa. If l marry my fiance now, am l going to be able to get my green card? Is there any other option for me? Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I am an american U.S born citizen. My wife was here previously on a J-1 visa with a 2 year home residency requirement which she is currently fulfilling now as we speak in her home country. We have a valid MA marriage license and a pending I-130. She has a S.S number from when she previously lived here. Am I allowed to claim her on my taxes since we have a valid marriage license and she has a social security number? I have a interview with my local immigration office coming up and I need to provide as much evidence as possible that our marriage is legitimate. Thank you for looking at my post.
