Default Executor of will fraud?

My father passed away 15 months ago. My sister was named executor of the will. She, along with myself and my other sister, were named as beneficiaries splitting the assets equally. Firstl, she undervalued the assets so that the will would fall under a small estate so she would not have to itemize. Then, she did not auction any of the tools and machinery and livestock. Instead, she sold everything to her daughter and grandson (for less than fair market value). Now, she has not distributed any of the funds, and will not respond to any attempts at contact for 8 months. I have hired a lawyer and, after a court hearing that she did not attend, she was removed as executor. I would like to find out if there would be any benefits to having a court-appointed executor, or if I should get the court to appoint me as executor? Also, is there even any point to me being executor now that everything has been sold/debts paid, etc.? Is there any recourse since she sold everything to her daughter and grandson at less than fair market value?

Thanks in advance.

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
