Question: Is it legal for my attorney to give advice to the other side's attorney?? I am suing neighbor for damages---cutting down trees on my property while I was out of town. The Def. attorney withdrew claiming that he could not communicate properly with his clients. Then they represented themselves and drove my attorney crazy. My attorney called their old attorney and suggested that they contact their insurance company. Now the neighbors have free attorneys provided by homeowner's ins. and they are driving up my attorney fees with frivilous things. Was my atty. right to make that suggestion?
