Default dui, deferred judgment

I got a dui in iowa last week. I blew a .12. This is my first conviction. I was told by some people to ask for a deferred judgment. I don't have money to get a lawyer, so i am going to get a court appointed attorney. Do i plead guilty and ask for deferred judgment? what should i do? what are my options?

Every court is different. Since you are going to get a court appointed attorney, that is the best person to speak with.
