Default Dui.

I just got served with papers last week about a DUI that happened 4 months ago and they're trying it on my juvenile record. The school has got involved and they looked at my record. I am now 18 - the question is; isn't my record sealed once I turn 18 are they really allowed to look at it?

I can certainly understand this is a frustrating situation for you. I suggest you contact an attorney to determine your legal options. You can find an attorney through the locator service on LawInfo’s home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/.

At any rate, not sure what you mean by juvenile records being sealed... Were you charged with DUI 4 months ago, or actaully convicted? In some states, certain juvenile records may not be automatically sealed.

You can also browse through the information in LawInfo’s Free Legal Resource Center here: http://www.lawinfo.com/index.cfm/fus...lient.consumer, or search for your particular topic here: http://resources.lawinfo.com/index.html.

Juessickaa, your records won't be sealed unfortunately. But u didn't give much details actually. What was your BAC when they charged u for DUI. Did they take your breathlyzer test then? Actually the laws related to Drunk Driving is getting harsher with passing time. Consult a good DUI Lawyer who can help u in fighting the letigation.
