I am in an international relationship. We plan to marry at some point in the future. I have discovered I am pregnant. The child will be born in the US but the father lives in London England. I assume the child being born in US will automatically mean US citizenship. How will I apply for the child to also be UK citizen? We plan to marry but it may not be before the child is born. The father works 50/50 between the UK and the US. After we marry (in the US) he will continue to split his living time between US and UK. What are the mechanics of the father gaining dual residency after our marriage? Would our marriage alone be recognized in both countries? Would it alone make us both dual citizens? I'm guessing it is much more complicated than I hope. PJ
