driving without a license
Hello,
Several years ago, I was pulled over for driving without a valid license. At the time, I was going to be losing my license due to being a habitual violator with too many moving violations within the course of a year. So I had to surrender my license, and I had a temporary license issued to me until the end of the year(which essentially was a piece of paper with my credentials). The only problem was, that I didn't have that piece of paper with me when I got pulled over. The cop went easy on me and didn't tow my car and only issued me the ticket for driving without a license. Now, I could have easily went to court on the court date and shown my paper and been fine, but I made a monumental mistake of missing my court date altogether. As a result, a warrant was issued for my arrest. Once I found out about it, I turned myself in and spent the night in jail. Too worsen the situation, in the morning when I spoke with the judge and plead guilty (honestly, I was nervous, and afraid somehow thought I would spend more time in jail, so I just pled guilty). It was a series of stupid mistakes for which I regret. At this point in time I am still wondering, since I have the proof that shows I was licensed during the time I was pulled over, do I have any recourse to have this overturned, or removed from my record?
