I'm going to do my best to make this as short as possible. My girlfriend and I have been dating 2 months and she just had a baby 3 months ago with another guy. She and I have been friends for a long time and it just kind of happened, but I digress. While she was pregnant her fiance at the time beat hert to the point she almost lost the baby several times. Shes now taking him to court because of the abuse but her ex's family is very wealthy and got one of the best and most crooked attorneys money can buy.

As far as evidence goes she only has pictures of the bruises, one of a black eye with clear finger prints. She said she had received texts from him admitting he hit her right before she changed her phone number as well as a voicemail where he threatened to kill her that she accidentally deleted. Is there anyway the police can force the phone company to pull those up?

She does have, however, texts from him threatening to kill himself, cursing her, and what could easily be considered bipolar (Infuriated at one moment and happy the next). I am confused. Is this a criminal case against him? If it is, then there should be a prosecuting attorney that is prosecuting him and will deal with all of this. If this is a civil issue then I would suggest that she speak with an attorney. There are ways to get the records, but subpoenas need to be issued.
