I have tenants in Ohio who have failed to pay rent and utilities this month. I served a 3 day notice to evict last week. The water and electric are will be turned off Thursday if they don't pay the bill, which is in their name. My question is if their service it terminated by their non payment, could I be held legally responsible for unlawful eviction process? I haven't filed my Forcable Complaint and Detention form yet, as I am really hopeful they will willingly leave if they have no utilities.
