Hello to all,

My name is Julie Girard and I am a researcher working with CMJ Productions, an independent company that is producing a new documentary television series for the Discovery Channel profiling real life stories of complex and surprising disputes that have arisen surrounding a will, estate or trust.

We are presently looking for interesting stories to profile, where both the heirs at law and those who have contested wills and estates as well as their respective legal representatives would be willing to be interviewed. That said, we are also only interested in cases where there have been final rulings with no pending appeals or where the parties have reached a final settlement.

The idea of the show is to objectively illustrate both sides involved. We want to explore why each person felt entitled and why they might have thought/felt that others were either not deserving at all or less deserving than themselves. We are also interested in exploring the legal issues of these claims - the more complex, the better - and having legal experts contribute as well to help viewers develop a further understanding of wills and estates.
