A life insurance policy is not included in a will. Typically there is a beneficiary listed on the poicy and the money goes to that person. The only way you have any chance of contesting it is if he was coerced into signing it, not because he was a bad father and you deserve something. There is no law that mandates that parents leave anything to their children. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
