My son was involved in a fight when he was 19 which resulted in a Class A misdeamnor charge. This incident led to a total of 5 misdeamnor charges and 90 days in jail. He cannot find a job now because of the violent charge. Do these charges stay on his record for ever or is there some time period with no further problems that they will be removed? He is now 23 and has not been in any trouble since.

Yes thats why its call a "record". He can talk to an Attorney and see if the offense can be expunged

Unfortunately, those charges do stay on record until something happens otherwise. Like our other members mentioned it stays until it is expunged. Do ask an attorney to be able to explore your options.
