Exclamation Divorce Decree and Real Estate repossesion

My ex husband got a loan during our divorce for a modular home. He took out thloan and put my name on it. He is the first one on the loan. I don't have an income. We bth filed banckruptcy seperately after divorce. I had to because he transferred credit card debt during our divorce to a credit card in my name. Now, after we both had to reaffirm he is leaving the trailer to be repossed or letting them take it back. I have tried to get him to refinance to take my name off and he reuses every time. Now after rebuilding my credit he is destroying it again. What can i do to stop this from affecting my credit. Can a person really do this twice and get away with it. Our divorce decree says that i am the responsible party for the home but it also said he had to pay off the credit card i had to file bankruptcy on. Please help. he has been moving out secretively and we just went before the court about visitation as well since we have both agreed to liberal visitation for over 7 years and now his new girlfriend does not want that.

I can understand this is a very frustrating situation for you. I suggest you speak to an attorney regarding your legal options. Your options for dealing with the creditors may depend in part on the terms of your divorce decree and the bankruptcy decree, etc. You can find more information about an attorney through the locator service on LawInfo's home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/. You can also search for information about bankruptcy, creditors/collections, divorce, child custody and a variety of other information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center here: http://www.lawinfo.com/index.cfm/fus...lient.consumer or http://www.lawinfo.com/. Good luck.
