At 17 I got a DUI. Since it was my first offense I got put on diversion for 1 year. Six months later i got pulled over for a headlight out and expired tags. I was worried about the DUI being brought back up because of the citation so i asked the cop and he said it is what is called a fixable ticket, meaning if i get my headlight fixed and tags renewed (which i have done) that the ticket will be dropped. He didnt go into detail so I am still kind of worried. My question is, will the citation i got for the headlight bring back the DUI making me pay the fines and what not or will that not affect it?

It is going to depend on the judge. If the tickets get dismissed you should be ok. You may want to speak with the attorney who handled your DUI.

You should be ok, you weren't pulled over for another DUI. Again, I can't tell how long it's been since thats happened based on the info you've given.
