I have a question regarding my ability to refuse payment on an invoice I received for having an electrical contractor come to my home and provide a quote for some electrical work I need done. At no point did they mention any fees for the quote. Yhe electrician came to my home left and said that they would look at their schedule to see when the work could be done. I called the next day and asked for a price quote it was high so I said no. After deciding that the quote was too high and informing them that I did not want their services I received a bill. I never went to their office received any paperwork signed anything etc. In addition they stated that they spent 1.5 hours on my property when in fact the maximum time spent was 0.5 hours.
