My sister-in-law gets disability. Shouldn't her son get a check drawn off of her until he's 18?

I'm wondering because my father gets disability, and my sisters draw a check from him.

I think it depends on the type of disability and a few other factors; I'm not really that knowledged in this field. Why not contact SSI and ask them directly?
